November 2011 GSC Member Doubles Cribbage Tournament Winners: Beardsley (Felicia that is) & Hume
November 18th saw what was probably the last cribbage tournament of the year at the club and a couple of experienced pro’s ended up with the win. Out of six teams entered (partners were chosen by the draw), the team of Felicia Beardsley and Rick Hume finished 1st for the night with a respectable 589 points (out of a possible 605); Dale Dawson and Dennis Harriman finished 2nd with a close 582; Bob Beckim and Rod Spearin rounded out the top three with 579. The cool “total points” format that we've been using for most of the year, once again had everyone on the edge of their seats until the last hand was played. Pizza and salads from Gerard's Pizza was on the menu again this night and a good time was had by all.

If you like cribbage and enjoy friendly and fun competition, plan on joining us for the next tournament.

May 2011 GSC Member Cribbage Tournament Winner: Felicia "Hurricane" Beardsley
May 27th (storm watch): Competitive weather fronts gathered by the edge of the stream to produce evidence as to why hurricanes should be named after women only. Felicia "Hurricane" Beardsley blew through the competition this night to score another "perfect storm" as she went on to lay waste to all who sat across from her. Out of the nine members who were sent seeking shelter, 2nd place Rick Hume was the one who came closest to riding out the storm with an impressive 1052 points (out of a perfect score of 1089). Dennis Harriman followed Rick with 1041 points just edging Bob Beckim by 1 point to round out the podium. Congratulations to all! Pizzas from Gerard's Pizza was on the menu again this night and a good time was had by all. If you like cribbage and enjoy friendly and fun competition, plan on joining us for the next tournament.

| Even Marty Engstrom couldn't predict how close the victory would be this night. Just 10 points determined the overall win and could have turned Tim and Curt's "Perfect Storm" into a "Summers Breeze". |

Members Pool Tournament of 2007
The first Members Pool Tournament of 2007 wrapped-up on the evening of Feb 15th with “Billiards” Bob White taking the 1st Place trophy. Bob took the championship from "Rack-um" Rick Hume by winning 2 games in a row after Rick missed sinking the 8-ball a couple of times. Dale "Dead-eye" Dawson wrapped-up 3rd Place after Rick beat him to advance to the finals. We had a good entry list for this tournament and look forward to an even bigger list for the next one.
